They have to get the work permit issued by Beijing Municipal Labor Bureau and then leave China to re-apply for a work visa (Z) and re-enter Beijing so that they could get the work certificates as well as the long-term residence permit. However, the foreigners usually enter china with tourist visas and business visas, which may cause troubles when they want to obtain work permit with these visas. They have to leave China and re-enter again. As a result, lots of work would be delayed in some companies.
